About the founderJack Low
Eighty-nine is built on 15 years’ experience across the creative industries, including nearly a decade leading communications for Canon across Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
Jack began his career at an agency during the London 2012 Olympics, developing a strong foundation in copywriting, media relations, stakeholder engagement and account management.
In 2017, he joined Canon UK as a B2B PR and social specialist, quickly helping to elevate the brand’s profile across national media, trade press and industry events. His role soon expanded into the consumer division, combining his professional expertise with a growing passion for photography and consumer technology.

This trajectory led to a move into Canon Europe, taking on an EMEA-wide role overseeing communications across more than 100 markets. Operating at this scale brought a new level of strategic complexity, supporting a business with annual revenues exceeding €5 billion.
From 2019, Jack built and led Canon’s consumer and corporate communications division, spanning public relations, social and influencer engagement. He also spearheaded flagship initiatives including the development of the Canon Creator Network.
In 2025, after almost a decade at Canon, Jack founded Eighty-nine, bringing together deep in-house experience, agency craft, and a clear belief in communications that build reputation, influence and long-term value.
The name Eighty-nine references the year he was born.
